SPINE integrates EFR smart meter gateway into its manufacturer-open network management

Smart Meter Gateways (SMGW) are a central component of the energy transition. To ensure a smooth rollout, metering point operators need one thing above all: flexibility. In practice, this often means using several gateway manufacturers in parallel – a so-called multi-manufacturer approach. With the connection of EFR gateways, SPiNE offers a monitoring system for smart meter gateways from several manufacturers (EFR and Theben) in one portal for the first time.

The client-server communication for the EFR gateway SGH-S was successfully tested and implemented in close coordination between the technical departments.
