The EFR User Terminal (BBS) is the user’s access point to the EFR system.
It connects the client to EFR’s central computer and permits transmission of independent command telegrams for control and setup of the receiver.
To operate the EFR system, all that you need is a conventional PC and EFR’s special software. The software converts the computer into a user terminal with which each system user can carry out his radio ripple control tasks.
The MSR Client adds the ability to connect external hardware via potential-free contacts and incorporation into existing control technologies.
If desired, a monitor receiver can send back the radio-transmitted telegrams, in order to close the monitoring loop.

The EFR Professional User Terminal (BBS) is the expandable multi-user terminal for the EFR system.
The EFR Professional User Terminal connects via EFR Sat Connect.
This is a redundant-design concept and thus extremely stable, ensuring smooth and secure access to the central computer thanks to its backup communication channel via satellite.
The EFR Professional Operator Station is designed as a multi-user system, in which the various users can be assigned different access rights by means of a consistent user administration system. Telegram sending is based on a telegram database, arranged in categories and with a tree structure, from which you can send your stored telegrams.
There are three ways to send your telegram: by direct manual selection, selection at a specific point in time, or periodic sending. You can also set up telegrams for specific buttons, and send them immediately at the touch of a button.
The integral MSR Client, with its potential-free contacts, can be used to send telegrams automatically.
In addition, the purpose-developed Street Lighting MSR Client can be connected, which controls the sending of telegrams with reference to an astronomical gate and logic combinations of the inputs.
The Professional User Terminal can also be integrated, along with an MSR Client, directly into the control centre.
A monitor receiver can be added, to monitor the sending of telegrams, by comparing the sent telegrams with the database in the Professional User Terminal. This ensures that the required telegrams have been both sent and received.
The User Terminal also indicates the system status of all components at all times, and is equipped with a comprehensive database of reports in which to record administration, telegram transmissions and other actions.
The EFR Compact User terminal is the compact version of the EFR User Terminal.
It is designed as a single-user system, for clients who want a low cost but fully operational ripple-control centre.
The connection to EFR’s central computer is made via TCP/IP – a standard Internet access is all that is needed to connect the system.
The simple version of the User Terminal is a single-user solution. It is equipped with a telegram database and a button panel for rapid messaging
There are three ways to send telegrams:
The integral MSR Client, with its potential-free contacts, can be used to send telegrams automatically.
A monitor receiver can be added, to monitor the sending of telegrams, by comparing the sent telegram with the request. This ensures that the required telegram has been both sent and received.
The User Terminal also indicates the system status of all components at all times.
The Standard MSR Client that is integrated in the User Terminal allows external components to be connected via its potential-free contacts, including light sensors or outputs to external remote workstations. If a contact is closed, the Client immediately calls up a pre-stored telegram at the EFR central computer.
In addition to the functions of the Standard Clients, this device also has some logic connections, allowing it to establish that, out of a group of inputs, only a certain number of them must be closed before a telegram is called up. For example, in order to send out the telegram “Lighting on”, at least 3 out of 5 sensors must be reporting “darkness”.
In addition, the unit includes an astronomical gate (or time window), which only permits a telegram to be sent at specific times of day. This time-window can be read via the Import function.
This is an extension to the Professional User Terminal, allowing easy addressing of a receiver for feed-in energy management.
It permits dynamic assembly of a radio ripple control telegram, without further knowledge of the Versacom addressing protocol, in three stages.
The terminal accesses a customisable control interface, permitting the rapid dispatch of a radio telegram to any desired group of receivers. The addresses are provided as individual labels to suit the addressing system.
Using the Client avoids the need to work with message hex-codes, makes the control of receivers simpler and faster, and leaves less room for error.
The IEC MSR Client software supports transmission of radio messages and monitoring the transmissions using IEC 60870-5-104/101 protocol.
The command is transmitted with TK49 (self-generation of message content) or TK45/46 (message selected using IOA).
EFR Smart Control ] is the single control portal for small network areas with up to 50 radio receivers – an entry-level solution, with control options limited to individual devices. Group addressing is possible with the User Terminal, and there is a separate version for feed-in energy control.
