EFR is a system provider of energy management solutions in Germany and large parts of central Europe. The company was established in 1993 and is a subsidiary of Bayernwerk, N‑ERGIE and Netze BW.  

With headquarters in Munich and offices in Wutha-Farnroda (Thuringia) and Berlin, we collaborate with international partners to develop innovative solutions for the energy industry, with a focus on sustainability.

What does this mean in concrete terms?

Our communications technology shapes the energy transition and makes power grids smart.  

Our meters, gateways and control devices contribute to ensuring smart and economical charging of millions of electric cars in the future. 

We make sure the lights go on everywhere in the evening: Via longwave radio, we control public lighting systems and ensure that street corners, crosswalks and intersections stay lit.
